Collecting your Dress

Once you have chosen the collection date for us to pick up the dress we will contact the courier, who will come to collect the dress from you on the date you requested. Initial Inspection Process

Yes..

Once your dress has been delivered to us we will give the dress to our dry cleaners and one of the team will be assigned to your dress. At this point the dry cleaning manager will inspect the dress and ascertain the best process to make sure the dress is cleaned correctly and in the safest manner possible. This also ensures the cleaning process is tailored to the individual nature of the dress.

Initial Cleaning

Spotting and hand treatments are used prior to dry cleaning to make sure that the dress is ready for the cleaning process. There are several methods available to us to begin to remove any marks or stains and this preliminary action is a delicate process that will remove the most stubborn stains.

Cleaning Processes

There are several types of cleaning processes available to us from dry cleaning, wet cleaning or CO2 cleaning. We can also employ chemical cleaning or spotting to remove stubborn stains as required. All care is taken during these procedures to protect the dress but also to make sure that the dress is as clean as it can be.

Checking of the Dress

Once the dress has been cleaned the dry cleaning manager will inspect the dress and make sure that the dress has been cleaned to our high standards. If at this time the dress requires re-cleaning then that is what we will do before hand finishing the dress.

Final Inspection and Finishing

Once the dress is cleaned and ready to return it will be hand finished, this involves hand pressing and finishing and a final inspection before the dress is ready to be boxed and returned.

Packaging and Returning Your Dress

Cleaned dresses are packaged with care ready for returning to you on the due return date. Dresses that are being returned in one of our presentation boxes (available at time of ordering) are interlaced with PH balanced tissue paper that protects the dress over time from water based damage and mould. The courier will then return your dress to the address you specified on the date you requested.

Our Recommendation

We strongly recommend having the dress boxed for return so that it can be stored safely over a long period of time. Dresses that are simply stored in normal cardboard boxes or in plastic dress bags are not suitable for long term storage and can lead to the fabric fading, discolouration of the dress or a yellowing of the material.

And remember that our boxes can be ordered separately making them the ideal gift for a new bride or a trusted friend.
